Humphreys School of Musical Theatre returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre with The Addams Family, a creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky musical comedy that will delight the whole family! Enjoy a ghoulish treat when you make plans to see The Addams Family at Miller Outdoor Theatre next Wednesday, June 5th.
Based on the iconic characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, this fun Broadway musical follows a now grown-up Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, who has fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.
And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
Since 1972, The Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) has been committed to providing the Houston area with the very best in theatrical training and performing arts education. It is the goal of HSMT to provide all students who walk through its doors with not only a positive and memorable experience, but also with a greater understanding of musical theatre and of themselves. For over 40 years, HSMT has been equipping young people with the tools they need to be successful in whatever they choose to do.
Don’t miss your chance to see The Addams Family next Wednesday night! This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 AM-1:00 PM. If tickets remain at 1:00 PM, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, there will be open seating on the hill. The shows goes on rain or shine.
